Google has started rolling out guide tagging feature for its Photos program. The feature enables users to tag faces in pictures where Google’s algorithm couldn’t label the face. Formerly, Google Photos would automatically identify faces and group them, allowing you to handle your library readily. However, the algorithm sometimes misses faces and today, users are going to be able to manually label people. While this is a great feature, there’s a catch. Users will only be able to tag people if Google detects that there’s a face in the photograph. This means that you can tag a picture when Google detects a face but doesn’t understand who it really is. If Google doesn’t find a face, due to a bizarre angle, you will not be able to label it.
